Lurking Within

she stalks…
a silent breath escapes her lungs, gentle mist in the night air.
she’s found her target.
she slowly creeps closer and closer..
she’s invisible. just how she likes it.
closer and closer she creeps.
she pounces.
she attatches herself –
her teeth and nails pierce flesh.
passion comes over her senses, pure adrenaline, instinct and pleasure.
they fall to the ground together.
the soft grass like a bed to rest her head.
the fight is over, she relaxes and takes in the air.
it’s a beautiful night, the sky is clear, the stars shining down.
a breeze gently caresses her.
she feels at peace.
finally, she rests.
